We gather at this peaceful & powerful sacred site for a sound healing concert in celebration of Lughnasadh, which represents the first harvest in the Celtic calendar. Giving thanks to nature for her abundance; following the sounds inwards to recognise our own gifts of power & plenty, perhaps in ways we never imagined.
We open with chanting before moving into the sounds of drum, hang and gongs. Against a backdrop of silence are the rustling of ancient trees and birdsong, interacting with the instruments amid the old stones. All are welcome to watch, sit, meditate and relax with us.
We provide herbal tonics and raw truffles afterwards with a chance to chat and share. You may like to hang an offering at the famous Madron well to close the gathering (we invite you to use natural objects rather than plastic).
Please read carefully what you need to bring - we are fully outdoors and the concert will take place in the open air earth and stone built chapel, so there aren't yoga mats, toilets or chairs! During the sounds you may like to stand or sit on the floor/ on the old stone benches. We will try and accommodate anyone who has difficulty sitting or standing first. We are, of course, dependent on weather so pls ensure I have your mobile number when booking!
Please bring: a yoga mat, cushion, small folding chair or something to sit on, warm layers of clothing (and a waterproof jacket), drinking water, sturdy shoes (its a 5-10 min walk from the car park), something small & personal to offer on the wishing tree and anything you like to place on the seasonal altar in the chapel (fruits, flowers, stones etc). We are encouraging car shares as there is limited parking or public transport. Please make your booking and let me know if you can offer lifts or require one.
£15 per person includes refreshments. Pre-booking only please.
