Join Ali & Fran for a complete vibrational re-set through holistic yoga, healing sound & nature’s nutrition. Our luxurious home for the weekend, the Five Elements Ayurvedic Retreat Centre in rural Cornwall, is an escape from everyday noise, stress & toxins. This vibrant programme offers not only physical renewal but re-connection with your emotional-energetic, mental and spiritual self too. It empowers you to maintain your resonance back 'out there' in daily life.
In Spring we emerge into a new cycle and find renewed energy for healing and growth. The Celtic celebration of Beltane (1st May) symbolises a time of great fertility and fire; now is the time to plant seeds of intention.
Yoga & sound
Yoga teacher and sound healer Ali Gunning leads you through daily meditation, movement & sound. Yoga practises will be inspired by the rising sun: a slow flow of postures synchronised with breath; to cleanse the body and build resolve for change. And attuning to the lunar energies of yin yoga: staying longer in simple poses; making space and cultivating stillness.
Our mantra fire ceremony and exploration of voice-work are an opportunity to let go of emotions and patterns which we are ready to leave behind in the ashes. Daily immersion in the vibrations of the gongs is a powerful way to cleanse the subconscious mind and connect to our true and vast potential. Into this space we help you seed your intentions.
Eating consciously ensures that we are aligned with our intentions on a cellular level. Raw food chef Fran Paz creates a daily menu of 100% plant based super food goodness. Those who’ve attended our mini retreats know just how creative, satisfying and inspiring raw food can be. And how much prana we absorb by eating high quality food in its natural state.
Fran also offers two hands-on workshops followed by a sharing meal; she’ll teach you how to make delicious superfood brunches, light dinners and sauces. No cookery experience is required.
Our location & treatments
We are nestled on the North Cornish countryside, a few miles from famous surf beaches and wild coastal path (also near Newquay airport which offers direct flights from London). Treat Five Elements as your home from home; lounge in the hot tubs, explore and wander or simply curl up in a reading room full of wellbeing books.
Our hosts Sari and Olly are highly skilled Ayurvedic therapists offering authentic treatments such as traditional oil massage and Shirodhara, as well as diet and lifestyle consultations.
May this offering spark great change and vitality within and all around you…
We are Ali & Fran and we created Resonant Retreats out of a shared passion for conscious living and community. On a Resonant Retreat we invite you to laugh, learn, grow and share with us. We take the cycles of the Celtic calendar as an invitation to pause and look within; to connect with the seasons and connect with Self.
With over 900 hours of training in yoga teaching & therapy, mostly in India, Ali Gunning offers yoga classes, retreats and trainings from her base in Cornwall. She is a graduate of the College of Sound Healing and has trained with gong & sound healing masters masters around the world to deepen her knowledge of sacred sound. She specialise in work with the majestic gong, an ancient instrument for raising consciousness. 'I'm passionate about sharing sound, breath and movement practises which can bring transformation on all levels of our being, in all areas of our lives. This certainly has been my own experience!'
Fran Paz is a raw food chef, creator of Moody Mango Raw Cuisine. She is known for her vibrant aura and ‘keeping it real’; passionate about smoothies and super foods, yet showing how a plant-based lifestyle can be affordable and accessible. Although based in East London she is a traveller at heart; inspired by several years in South America, living in raw food communities; she is a huge advocate of the ‘food as medicine’ philosophy and gets great pleasure out of making healthy food taste and look amazing.
