Spring equinox sound immersion

  • roselidden farm Trevenen Bal TR13 0PT United Kingdom (map)

I am super excited to announce two sound immersions, in depth and interactive day workshops, this year! We will be using the spring & autumn equinoxes, the balance points of the year, to explore the path of sound for transformation.  My intention is to share what I know as a student of sacred sound; for us to be both playful and reverent of its power for healing and meditation.

For those who have been attending sound or gong baths and would like to get a little more ‘hands on’, this may be just the thing. For yoga teachers, therapists or anyone intending to explore sound healing it may provide a nice introduction. Open to all, whatever your experience of sound, this is an opportunity for personal development and self healing.

The immersions begin with receiving a sound bath and throughout the day we will weave together working with instruments, voice, breath and body. Our emphasis is on experiential sounding, both offering and receiving, threaded with background information on how sound has been healing for thousands of years and how it is expanding into the modern day.

‘The yoga of sound’

In the truest sense of the word ‘yoga’, sound is a powerful vehicle to move beyond the mind and unite with our highest self, spirit or the divine.  In this spring gathering we will explore the holistic effects of sound through listening & feeling; including:

·             Using Himalayan singing bowls for your own meditation & giving a sound massage

·             Nadanasundana – nada yoga meditation using toning & mantra

·             Playing the gong for yourself and others
